Why do many watercolour papers say they are NOT/Cold Pressed?
Why do many watercolour papers say they are NOT/Cold Pressed?

With watercolour paper, NOT means 'not hot pressed' and is the same texture of surface as Cold Pressed. The different terms are regional, with NOT being preferred in the UK. We list our papers with both terms for international clarity. NOT/Cold Pressed is the name given to paper that has a medium surface texture, between Hot Pressed (smooth) and Rough.
