Jackson’s Painting Prize exists to champion exceptional artworks made by international artists at all points in their careers, with tailored prizes that aim to give successful applicants the exposure and resources to support them in their practice.

The competition has steadily grown in size and reputation since it started in 2016, last year receiving nearly 9000 entries from 107 countries, with the shortlist gaining tens of thousands of views online with huge acclaim.

What are the key dates?

Submissions open: 1st December 2022

Submissions close: 1st March 2023

Winners announced: 11th - 14th March 2023

Affordable Art Fair Hampstead: 3rd - 7th March 2023

Bankside Gallery: 24th - 30th July 2023

How do I enter?

How much does it cost to enter?

Entry costs £6 per artwork. You may submit up to 5 artworks.

Can I enter an old piece?

Yes, there is no date limit on the artworks. As long as you still have the work in your possession, and it hasn't won another competition, it can be entered.

Is there a theme?

No, there are no theme restrictions, however, we do have criteria.

Can I enter if I'm based outside the UK?

Yes, the competition is open to artists worldwide. We'll do our best to exhibit international winners, however, this has to be evaluated case-by-case.
