Understanding lightfast

Updated over 3 years ago

Lightfast means colours that do not fade. Normal conditions are considered to be the most likely conditions where someone might display an artwork: hanging on a wall, indoors and out of direct sunlight and framed behind UV protective glass.

Outdoor mural artwork can be protected with UV resistant varnish.
